On arrival at Amritsar Railway Station / airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to the hotel & Check in the hotel & at the Evening is free to explore interesting shopping destinations. Amritsar city is famous for its traditional handicraft and handloom products including phulkari, lacquered woodwork, jewelry etc. Other attractive items available at Amritsar include Punjabi juties, Punjabi Suit, woolen garments and Patiala salwar. and return back to hotel overnight stay in Amritsar
After breakfast. Visit Golden Temple the hoiliest shrines for the Sikhs. The architecture of Golden Temple is a blend of Hindu and Muslims architecture.
Visit Jallianwala Bagh- which is just the walking distance from the Golden Temple. Jakianwala has a special importance attached to it with respect to India's freedom struggle On April 13, 1919 on the auspicious day of Baisakhi hundreds of men; women and children sacrificed their lives in front of ruthless firing of the British forces.
Then visit Wagah Border which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. During evening armed soldiers, both Indian as well as Pakistani, fully decked in their uniform enacts a particularly hostile parade marked by lowering of their respective flags and closing the border gates. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags is carried out with great pomp and fervor. and return back to hotel overnight stay in Amritsar
After breakfast, proceed for full day Gurudwara Yatra around Amritsar starting from Gurudwara Shri Tarn Taran Sahib (25 Kms from Amritsar) - is a Gurudwara established by the fifth guru, Guru Arjan Dev. It is situated in the city of Tarn Taran Sahib; It has the distinction of having the largest sarovar (Water pond) of all the gurudwaras. Also it is famous for the month gathering of pilgrims on day of Amavas (No moon night).
Then Visit Khadoor Sahib (15 Kms from Tarn Taran) - Sri Khadur Sahib was the family home of second Guru Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji. The Guru settled here with his wife Mata Khivi and raised their three children here. Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji established his religious center here and spent the rest of his life at Khadur Sahib. Here Shri Guru Angad Dev appointed Guru Amar Das as his successor and the third Guru. A grand Gurudwara Khaddi Sahib has been constructed here, in memory of Guru Amar Das.
Then proceed to Goindwal Sahib (10 Kms from Khadur Sahib), visit Gurudwara Shri Baoli Sahib- This was the first centre of Sikhism and was established by Sri Guru Amar Das Ji. The Hindus went on pilgrimage to Hardwar and Banaras but the Sikhs needed a place of their own. Understanding this, Sri Guru Amar Das Ji purchased the land and personally helped in the construction of the Gurudwara and Baoli (well) with 84 steps leading down to it. and return back to hotel overnight stay in Amritsar
